The GTA franchise's latest installment on mobile devices is out - Chinatown Wars. Rockstar Games has gone back a bit and taken something out of the the early grand theft auto games on this one - it's top-down, two-dimensional view, which believe it or not actually works and handles quite well! At first I thought it might not but then I gave it a go and I actually like it more than Liberty City! Which just points out to me that Rockstar didn't just make this as a compromise to other GTA games.
Another good thing about this game is it's mini games and lengthy story mode. Of course I haven't yet tried out the DS version yet, but the mini games are pretty good, things such as hot wiring a car, filling up a molotov with oil and things like that really add more umph into the game.
It also has more variety of things to do than in the previous games such as drug dealing, buying safe houses and of course you can still go around blowing up stuff and messing with the police.
The only bad thing about this game - that I can think of - is the fact that it's multiplayer mode only supports upto two players which isn't GTAish if you ask me but you can't have everything....
Hope you enjoyed my review, this is gamerdude007 sayin - peace out and Happy gaming!
